IFYS Limited - REBECCA Program

The REBECCA Program is an early intervention education program run by the Sunshine Coast DFV service System Coordination Service, for young people up to the age of 25 who identify as female and are at risk of, or have experienced domestic and family violence. To prevent and reduce violence against women and girls, it starts with recognising the significance of the gendered drivers causing inequality and disrespect.

REBECCA is delivered as a series of workshops containing 6 modules over 6 weeks. REBECCA aims to challenge the attitudes, values and structures that perpetuate gendered violence. The workshops seek to support young people to develop their capacity to understand and identify the features of respectful relationships and respond to harmful behaviours, develop an understanding of boundaries, consent and the gendered drivers of violence, as well as build strength, resilience and conncetion to community.
