Women's Space

The Women’s Space program recognises that  women’s experiences of gender based violence continues to have an impact on their health and wellbeing long after they have escaped the violence.

Our holistic and personalised program supports new perspectives and possibilities with opportunities for increased social and community connections.  The Women’s Space team are committed to strengthening individual resilience and empowerment.

Women’s Space currently offers the following workshops and group programs:

  • Wellbeing Workshops
  • D&FV Workshops
  • Trauma & The Brain Workshops
  • Social Connections Groups

In addition to our ongoing groups and workshops, the program offers individual trauma informed counselling, advocacy and resource coordination to support a collaborative community focused approach to health and wellbeing.

Service delivery during coronavirus restrictions has resulted in our group programs having to be cancelled during April-June. Individual counselling and advocacy continues to be offered in person at Women’s Space however we also offer phone or video conferencing alternatives.   Our Women’s Space team continue to follow strict hygiene and social distancing requirements for all in person appointments.

Workshops and group programs will recommence soon, please phone to discuss these options with one of the team.
